One more reason we love these guys!

As if we needed any more reasons to love these guys! Our favorite violinist/can-play-anythingist has done some good in the world today. Ryan, an alum of Houston's SPVA, made an appearance at the new downtown location of The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts (ASPVA) for the ribbon cutting and grand opening.
At the ceremony he said "Austin is such a culturally rich town, and ASPVA will definitely play an important role in grooming the next generation of artists." Not only that, but in between tours he will teach master classes for ASPVA! We BlueFanGirls have a soft spot for teachers so we say, Right On Ryan and Thank You! Check out the full press release with more info on ASVPA here: http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs017/1101756201666/archive/1102968181169.html

CB Gets Married!!!

Get out your box of tissues, one of the boys is no longer an eligible bachelor!

One of our Utah Blue Girls, AmyO discovered that CB Hudson got married just this weekend!!

Here are some pictures from Sweet Caroline Photos:

Sweet Caroline Photos - CB & Betsy's Wedding

There are even a few shots of the whole band in the mix! If you scroll all the way down, you can see a slideshow of the wedding. Both the bride and groom look super happy!

We wish Mr. & Mrs. Hudson the all the best! Congratulations!

In light of this recent event, we thought we would gush some more over CB. Here are some interesting tidbits about our favorite guitarist.

From Wikipedia
"Charles Britton "C.B." Hudson III (born October 8, 1974 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is the lead guitarist of the American rock band Blue October.

Hudson grew up in Dallas and received his first guitar on his 10th birthday. He was influenced by MTV, was a fan of heavy metal and early on was influenced by guitarists Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani, and Eric Johnson.[1] Later, Hudson explored the music of jazz guitarists such as Norman Brown and George Benson.[2]"

CB earned a degree in psychology in 1999.

CB co-wrote "Somebody" with Justin Furstenfeld and Blue Miller.

"For Blue October's latest album, Foiled, Hudson wrote the music for the popular song "18th Floor Balcony" and his jazz influence shines during live performances of "Everlasting Friend" which features a jazz guitar solo to close the song.

Hudson continues to write and record jazz-influenced instrumental solo material under his publishing name Reflxblue."

New Tour Dates

Blue October just announced new tour dates for February and March. Too bad they are all in Europe. From what I hear (and see on the youtube footage) the shows in Europe are super small and there is no barrier with big grumpy burly guys glaring at you. Come on guys! We just want to express our fangirly joy!!!

Here are tour dates, just in case you are fortunate enough to be in Europe in the next few months.

(And NO Valerie and Janicca, we can't go...or should I say, I can't go!)
